The army will be engaged in extinguishing fires in North Macedonia

North Macedonian President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova decided to engage the army in combating the fires.
“The President, in accordance with the Law on Crisis Management, has signed the decision to involve part of the Army in extinguishing the fires. The engagement of Army members comes after the declaration of a state of crisis by the Government,” the presidency announced.
The Army General Staff will determine the manner of this engagement.
The President is closely following the situation with the fires and expresses concern and solidarity with the affected citizens, her cabinet announced.
