Senior US Department official visits Kosovo today

The US State Department’s senior official for European Affairs, Brendan Hanrahan, will visit Kosovo today.
He will be received in a meeting by the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, KosovaPress reports.
The American diplomat announced a few days ago that he will visit the Western Balkans this week, where in addition to Kosovo, he had announced a visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.
“I look forward to strengthening ties between the United States and countries in the region,” he wrote on the X platform on July 9.
During his stay in Kosovo, the senior American official is also expected to meet with representatives and leaders from parliamentary parties.
LDK President Lumir Abdixhiku, when asked by KosovaPress on Thursday, confirmed the meeting, but added that due to his travel, LDK will be represented at the meeting by Vice President Hykmete Bajrami.
President Vjosa Osmani, who is on an official visit to the US, also met with the American diplomat a few days ago.
