The Montenegrin men’s cadet volleyball team won fifth place at the U19 Balkan Championship. Our young volleyball players celebrated against Bulgaria, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as North Macedonia, while their only defeat was against the Serbian national team.
In the last match of the tournament, Montenegro recorded a comfortable victory against North Macedonia with the score 3:1 (25:17, 20:25, 25:19, 25:22). Our boys opened the match excellently, gaining a significant advantage at the start of the set 16:8 and 20:10, and routinely brought it to an end 25:17.
The second set went to North Macedonia, which led 4:0, then 15:12, and our guys failed to find the right solution, so the opponent tied the set at 1:1 (25:20).
The third set brought an uncertain fight until the middle, when the score was 18:18, but the Montenegrins then tied four points, took a 22:18 lead and calmly concluded the set with a score of 25:19. Riding on that momentum, Montenegro opened the fourth set with a 4:1 lead and, although there was a fight until the end, they did not let go of the lead and deservedly celebrated with a score of 25:22.
