So many areas of Britain are close to or at sea level and will soon be reunited with Doggerland.

They say the sea rise is not uniform globally, but my brain can’t figure out how that can be. Isn’t one of the main properties of a liquid that it finds a level, the waters surrounding us are pretty well connected to the oceans.

If we let the water companies pour more shit into the sea then maybe the additional weight will pull it back down

Wonder how this will result in a cost of living crisis

Don’t worry guys – if we all pay a bit more tax and give more control to the government we might be able to reserve this

I always find it weird thinking about this, living near the mouth of the River Wear into the sea. Like yeah the river swells and flows but it doesn’t break the banks.
Is this more of an issue for people upstream?
I can only imagine with *deepest sympathies* the financial hardship of the people who have their boats down at the Marina must be looking at.

Rising sea levels would greatly increase the width of the Thames in Greater London, sinking canary wharf and much of east London including coastal areas of England.
A nightmare to imagine, very sad that governments around the world are not taking this crisis seriously.

Keep net zero or bin it. But start building flood defences because we will need them either way!

It’ll be all the sewage our water companies pump into it.
