    Surprising that Montreal has less indigenous people than Calgary and Vancouver given that those cities have reservations near the census area. I thought the proportion would be similar.

    I’m honestly shocked by how many indigenous people are in Ottawa-Gatineau. Grew up there and never really met any until moving out west.

    Ottawa and Montreal’s ethnic demogaraphics are more similar than I had realized – that’s quite interesting. Easily the most similar pairing on here.

  6. I miss Toronto every day. Being in a 96% white-European-background smaller city sucks, even if I am “European” background.

    Er… how is Latin American not European? Thinking about this a bit, the label “European” is really ambiguous.
