What a thoroughly useless article. Acid attacks are reported to be up, yet they spend their time talking about ammonia. 2/3s of the victims are men, which apparently means that women are on the rise as victims of the attacks, but no other data is provided. London used to be bad but we don’t know what changed

    > Of the attacks where gender data was recorded, a third were female – reflecting the rising use of acid as a weapon of violence against women.

Bizarre thing to write, sounds like the author thinks it is a worse crime when done to a woman.

  3. For those who didn’t read, it’s referencing a massive use amongst those partaking in “gang activity”

When an article’s headline sounds like what will be on the Manchester Evening news, I just scroll past it.

  5. Strange the increase seems to be attacks on men, but the media are going with the VAWG narrative?

  6. When will white, working class men be held accountable? When will their community leaders (Jim Davidson, Roy Chubby Brown) denounce this sort of activity?

  7. > ASTI executive director Jaf Shah told Sky News that attacks in Northumbria account for almost 25% of the nationwide total – despite making up just 2% of the population.

What does it imply? What so special about Northumbria?

  8. This stuff is cyclical for gangs, they soon realise that they’re just as likely to injure themselves as their victims so they stop after a while which is why London has seen a reduction until a new group of idiots come along.
