Teal was best known for appearing in long-running, Wilmington-shot drama “One Tree Hill.” During a multi-episode arc in the show’s seventh season, which aired in 2010, he played a closeted rock star.

“The Hunting Wives” shot its eight episodes in the Charlotte area during the first half of 2024. It’s based on a 2021 mystery thriller novel by May Cobb about a young woman from Boston who moves to Texas and becomes involved with a group of married women who like to drink, do drugs, shoot shotguns and have sex with people who aren’t their husbands. When a teenage girl is found shot to death, everyone becomes a suspect.

The cast of the show includes Brittany Snow, Malin Akerman, Dermot Mulroney and Jaime Ray Newman.

In addition to Teal, also appearing in the show are former Wilmington actor Jason Davis, as well as Emmett Moss, the young son of former Wilmington actors Cullen and Madison Moss.
