    I’d bet there are 10’s of thousands of these bound to our solar system. Few more years, few new telescopes, thousands.

    For everyone wondering, it’s a “fossil” of an ancient planet from the formation of our solar system. Not a fossil of an alien organism.

    I’d been meaning to look up the Sedna orbit, since I read it was so elliptical and its perihelion is still outside the orbit of Neptune (iirc). So the image was perfect for me, though I’ll have to look up a more detailed one with the SolSys in it.
