I’m told he played an instrument in a band, so assuming he was enlisted. He was born in USA in 1900, but he lived in Poland 1905 to 1931.
Trying to track down his military records. Trying to determine two answers, what unit/regiment/etc he was part of and when was he in the military. He looks quite young so maybe he was in military around 1918 – mid 1920s?
Anything anybody could point out would be appreciated !

A soldier of the Podhale units in a garrison uniform, model 19. On the collar there is a visible insignia in the form of a swastika (not a Nazi symbol) on a fir branch – the distinguishing mark of the Podhale regiments.
