Belgian Brew Import brings five exclusive Belgian beer brands to Kosovo
Kosovo is now home to five exclusive Belgian beer brands, thanks to the initiative of expatriate chef Jozef Gashi and his company Belgian Brew Import. With the newly opened branch, the company brings to the region for the first time a wide selection of beers imported directly from Belgium.
With 25 new flavors in their bar, all beer lovers will be able to try up to 365 flavors, from fruit ones to monastery beers.
The CEO of Belgian Brew Import, Jozef Gashi, told KosovaPress that his desire was to open a company in Kosovo, and Belgian beer was what attracted him to bring it to Kosovo, beers that only Kosovo currently has in the entire Western Balkans.
“We always wanted to do something in Kosovo, like every expatriate, and we thought about what is the best of Belgium to bring to Kosovo. Belgian beers are known all over the world as the best, so we decided to bring the beers,” said Gashi.
Furthermore, Gashi stated that his goal was to bring a variety of flavors to Kosovo, which are also protected by UNESCO as cultural heritage.
“The goal is to bring a variety of flavors to Kosovo, it is something that is missing in the market today… We are the only ones in the Balkans that have representation for these Belgian beers, we work professionally and all our beers come directly from Belgian breweries… An interesting fact, Belgian beer has been protected by UNESCO since 2016, it is cultural heritage,” he said.
Belgian Brew Import has also begun collaborating with other businesses to promote Belgian beers. He mentioned that by August of this year, they will bring in 365 more types.
Meanwhile, the bar where they will be able to try this beer will open in the last week of July.
“We have tried to get as many products as possible, from fruit beers to monastery beers. At the moment we have 25 types in our bar, they will have the opportunity to taste 365 types by mid-August. We have opened our bar here for the moment only for tastings for the bars, starting next week, we will also open it for the general public to try the flavors,” he said.
Jozef Gashi also showed the types of beers in their bar.
