I say this as a Christian, I HATE street evangelism.
I don’t want your leaflet. I don’t want to come to your event. I don’t want to give you my phone number. I don’t want to join your Bible study. I don’t want to come to your church. I most definitely do not want to hear you screeching like a man possessed in the middle of a public space as I go about my day.
I literally do not see any other religion behaving this way ever.
Yes I understand that Jesus evangelised on the street. I’d like to think that Jesus wouldn’t bother people in this way today. Especially when there are so many cults and grooming gangs posing as churches.
The fact that Spac Nation was investigated and given the all clear to continue grooming and financially abusing young children in the name of Christ genuinely disgusts me to my core.

It’s always confused me with so many of the religious that the thing they claim brings them so much happiness and meaning in life actually means fuck all unless I believe it too.
Can we ban all Street preachers and literally I don’t care if Christian or Muslim or Jewish, if we want to join your religion let us come to you.
It’s soooo annoying. Your religion/cult is YOUR business, not mine. I don’t give a shit about your Sky Santa make believe. I hate when they leave leaflets where I work (a café) but I LOVE ripping those and throwing them out.
Open this Pandora box, and next everyone can start preaching their cult on the streets.
As a Christian nothing cringes me more than seeing Christians preaching on the street. I used to know a guy who walked around with a cross and a speaker preaching all the time, it was jarring.
Unless the government bans all religious preaching there is nothing we can do. You can’t ban one but have Muslims with stands and organising mass prayers. Personally I would ban it most people are aware of religious temples and if they want to know what people faith is they can simply go to it.
Funny thing is not effective. I have yet meet one person be converted via street preaching

No one should be able to preach in public or come door to door for their religion it’s archaic.
From the Bible, Matthew 6:6:
“But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.”
Just remind them of this when you see them.
Every evangelist seems to think they’ve been told by god to do this.

Free speech works both ways so I might just pitch next to them and start talking about their whole religion is a cover story for an affair.

The problem is that banning someone preaching/campaigning loudly in public could be used to ban all peaceful protest. Yes they are annoying, but as long as they aren’t saying anything illegal they should be allowed to continue.
As someone who can hear preaching from my house, fuck this.
They aren’t meant to do it in the evening (stop at 19:00 near me), yet they continue till 23:00.

• Local authority say they don’t monitor calls out of hours (after 20:00) so to contact the police
It’s a fucked up system.
Let’s define them as “marches” since they’re in the street, and require them to give notice to police who can deny it.

Fuck… where I live we’re getting 3 or 4 Christian preachers down a 40ft section of our high street. While being absolute cretins, screaming and insulting anyone who tells them to turn their volume down. Or just being straight homophobic spouting hate and damning people to hell. One even went to a small church that had a pride flag and swore the priest out for daring to display such a flag
Now it’s only going to get worse if this becomes the legal norm

I don’t have a problem with them preaching – as long as they don’t use those annoyingly loud speakers and make comments that are racist and homophobic …preach love and

You can always see the fear in their eyes. They are not preaching out of love for Jesus, they are screaming so god doesn’t condemn them to hell for eternity without parole and they want to save you too. It’s all based on fear.
If we really do live in an existence ruled over by a god that does this for the mere crime of not believing in them , then we are living in a pretty terrible place.
