    Oleksandr Tovarnitskyi, a sniper of the special police battalion (shooter) of the GNUP in the Ternopil region, died on July 7, 2025, while performing a combat mission in the Donetsk region.

    Junior Police Lieutenant Oleksandr Tovarnitskyi will forever be 27 years old.

    He began his service in the police in 2019, coming to the position of the police response sector of the patrol police of the Chortkiv district administration. In June 2024, Oleksandr voluntarily joined the newly formed rifle battalion of the police to defend the state from the Russian occupiers.

    A true patriot of Ukraine, a loyal friend, a reliable brother – this is what everyone who knew Oleksandr says about him. He had many dreams and life plans. The family was really proud of him. The deceased had a little daughter, wife and parents.
