“Bubbles!?!? I’m the Prince of fucking darkness!”

    Rest in peace big man.

  2. LucidTopiary on

Very sad, he will be missed.

At least he got to go out in style with his final show.

    What a legend!

    RIP

He lived a full life, I hope Sharon is okay as it was obvious he was her world

Oh wow, that’s crazy how quick that was. What a legend and will be missed!

  5. antbaby_machetesquad on

One of the greats, helped create an entire genre, even by if he didn’t think so.

  6. At least he got to say farewell in his own way on his terms. RIP to a rock legend (and arguably reality tv’s 1st family)

  7. Very sad but I’m sure he’d be pleased he got to do what he loved right up till the end.

Out with a bang. Say what you want about Sharon but what a send off for the man

I’ll miss him but his legacy is set in well, metal

  9. He rocked on right until the end. Rest in Peace, Prince of Darkness. Finally reunited with Randy wherever you are.

Fewer artists have ever left as big an impact on music. Wasn’t my top artist but he did have some bangers but his legacy is up there with the best. RIP

I thought this going to be one of the David Attenborough style headlines that make you think he died but he’s actually fine…

  12. He had a solid 20 years more than we all thought he would, gonna miss him.

  13. SamTheDystopianRat on

Holy shit, I can’t believe it. I mean, it’s a miracle he lived as long as he did considering his lifestyle, but it still feels too soon. RIP

This is a terrible day not just for those in the UK, but metal fans everywhere.

  15. Ecstatic_Lion4224 on

Had seen rumours but from dodgy websites. Sky seems a better source.

I thought when the gig happened that he probably didn’t have long and perhaps the loss of purpose from needing to cling on to do the show was a factor.

Rest in power Ozzy. Glad you got the send off you did.

  16. It’s so badass that he managed to hang in there for that farewell show and feel the love one last time from the metal community and the world. Rocked out till the very end.

The highest-grossing charity concert ever, $190 million. A bloody good bloke, until the very end.

    >Finished with my woman’

    >Cause she couldn’t help me with my mind

    >People think I’m insane

    >Because I am frowning all the time

    >All day long I think of things

    >But nothing seems to satisfy

    >Think I’ll lose my mind

    A truly great Briton.

Guess he was building up all that strength for one last hoorah and after that was just ready

  20. WolfColaCo2020 on

Got to go out on his own terms, and was literally a miracle of medicine to even get this far

  21. He will be missed rest in peace Ozzy you legend, you will forever be in our hearts.

  22. Better_Concert1106 on

Fuck, thats sad. But what a legend, doing what he loved right up until the end. One of the greats. Irreplaceable.

  23. I had a dream last night, where I was upset because Ozzy had died. And now hours later, it happens.

RIP to an absolute legend, so glad I got to see his final show. Guy lived life to the fullest.

  24. Heartbroken.

Farewell you fucking legend. Not only did you give us music that will last forever but you inspired others and generated a legacy to rival kings, warriors and poets.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal.

  25. For any Ozzy Osbourne fans in the West Midlands, there’s currently an exhibit at the museum in Birmingham, [until the end of September, which celebrates his career](https://i.imgur.com/AuCA5Iu.jpeg), free entry too.

[Me and a mate](https://i.imgur.com/Ic9IWWI.jpeg) went there a [few weeks ago](https://i.imgur.com/HaNyR0n.jpeg), the exhibit goes over his various achievements and also had a room showing off a lot of his performances with Black Sabbath and solo stuff too, worth a visit for sure.

    RIP Ozzy.

As a metalhead, I’m absolutely gutted. First heard Sabbath in the very early 80s as a kid as my parents had the Paranoid single.

Also saw Ozzy headline Donnington 1996 with Kiss-just an AMAZING show. Guy was-IS-an absolute legend and he’s going to incredibly missed.

Rest in Peace Ozzy you glorious bastard.

  27. Actually feel a bit sad about this. I mean public figures die all the time. Last time I felt sad was Victoria Wood.

  28. GordonHead87 on

The father of UK metal. RIP to the one and only. There will never be another like Ozzy

  29. Man that really sucks. At least he got to go out on his terms after one last hurrah.

  30. Bloody hell. He was clearly ill at the final gig a couple of weeks ago, but I would have thought he had a couple of years left.

He held on just long enough for one last massive farewell gig. What a legend.

    RIP Ozzy.

  31. AlwaysCreamCrackered on

What a wild, crazy life that guy had.

Lived life in the fast lane right up till the very end.

  32. sheffieldpud on

He knew at his last show didn’t he. Especially singing Mama I’m coming home. He’s lived a proper life, an absolute legend

  33. Funny, charismatic, had a great run and went out with a farewell show. A UK music icon.

He probably couldn’t have planned it better if he tried

  34. Somewhere, Keith Richards just got a massive power boost and one step closer to The Prize

  35. Going out having returned to his home town a hero and raised a fuck load for the children’s hospital? That’s a legacy.
