Commentators flood Kurti with criticism, reminding him of his stances on the independence of the state of Kosovo

The leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, who currently holds both the positions of MP and acting Prime Minister, has written about the anniversary of the International Court of Justice’s decision on the act of declaring Kosovo’s independence, as a decision that does not conflict with international law, writes Gazeta Express.
On Kurti’s official Facebook profile, where he posted, comments have flooded in, reminding Kurti of his destructive stances and actions towards the independence and statehood of Kosovo.
In 2007, Kurti gave a speech in which he declared that Ahtisaari had brought the package, but independence did not come with it. He also declared that “Ahtisaari’s package does not bring independence, only autonomy for Serbs.”
A few years later, Kurti did not stand to respect the Kosovo anthem during an event in Mitrovica.

Some of the comments on Kurti’s post today:
“The independence you have never known, nor respected,” wrote one of the commentators.

“15 years ago today you said you recognized Kosovo as a state and accepted its flag,” wrote another.

“The state is being led by a man who does not know the state and its symbols, woe to us,” is another comment from many of them, reminding Kurti of his disrespectful attitudes towards the symbols of Kosovo’s independence.
