Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Oljas Bektenov, to discuss key areas of bilateral cooperation, according to the Ministry of Economy.

The meeting focused on strengthening ties in trade, transport and logistics, energy, civil aviation, and tourism. Particular attention was given to the strategic importance of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor) and the joint efforts of both countries to enhance its development. The sides emphasized the need to attract international cargo to the corridor and discussed infrastructure projects that will further support its growth.

Minister Kvrivishvili highlighted Kazakhstan as a vital trade and economic partner for Georgia.

“Exports play a crucial role in both our economies. We are optimistic that our partnership will continue to grow, and we will see more Georgian products entering the Kazakh market,” she stated.

The meeting took place during the Minister’s official visit to Kazakhstan.
