Svivlo is here at ICAST 2025 with the new Svivlo Draken One Finesse Edition. This is their latest addition to the Svivlo product line of Swedish black magic baitcasters. This reel, like all the other Svivlo baitcasters, will not backlash as long as you don’t thumb the spool after you cast. No need to tune or adjust the reel, the Svivlo CastGuard takes care of everything, just tie on a bait and cast. As long as anglers don’t thumb the spool, the reel will handle the rest and slow itself. Beyond the CastGuard system, the Svivlo Draken Finesse Edition is a 100+ size baitcaster that is perfect for BFS fishing, but still tough and capable of handling large fish with 15.4 lbs of drag, the Fenrir carbon-fiber body, and ultradurable drive gear. Also, for any anglers who already have a standard Svivlo Draken One, they are offering a kit that anglers can install to turn their standard reel into a finesse edition for $119. The Svivlo Draken One Finesse edition has an MSRP of $259 and should be hitting shelves in January 2026.
