In your honor, the stars of The Parent Trap just gave fans a royal flush of nostalgia, reuniting 27 years later at the premiere of Lindsay Lohan‘s Freakier Friday.

Lohan hit the red carpet Tuesday night alongside her Parent Trap costars Lisa Ann Walter and Elaine Hendrix, the latter of whom Entertainment Weekly previously revealed makes a cameo appearance in Disney‘s upcoming Freaky Friday sequel.

Walter, currently starring on Abbott Elementary, played lovable housekeeper Chessy in 1998’sThe Parent Trap, while Hendrix portrayed the primary antagonist, Meredith Blake, who, much to the chagrin of his recently reunited twin girls (Lohan, in dual roles) becomes engaged to a California vineyard owner (Dennis Quaid).

Walter posted a few photos from the premiere to her Instagram Story, writing “so proud of these gorgeous ladies” alongside one red carpet photo.

Hendrix also posted about the reunion on Instagram, resharing a fan’s note that the reunion “is important to millennials everywhere,” in addition to sharing a few photos from the event.

The Parent Trap cast previously reunited virtually for a video interview in 2020.

Hendrix reteamed with Lohan for a brief role in Freakier Friday at the request of director Nisha Ganatra, the Late Night filmmaker exclusively told EW during a cover story interview.

“I was like, girl, you know I’ll show up for you to do anything,” Hendrix later told EW she said in response to Ganatra’s request, years after she, too, worked with the director on their 2005 movie Bam Bam and Celeste.

Of reuniting with Lohan, Hendrix said, “I got to physically see her, and we spent a lot of time together on set, hanging out, reminiscing, and catching up. Now, we’re better about staying in touch with one another.” The actress said that the pair didn’t remain close after The Parent Trap due to their age difference at the time, but they’re now consistently talking.

Added Hendrix, “She lives on the other side of the world and has a family and is busy. We both have full lives, but particularly through social media and texting, we’re staying in touch, which is quite lovely. I’m so happy for her and where she is in her life. It’s nice, in these new chapters of our lives, to be in contact.”

Lohan also reunited with Jamie Lee Curtis for Freakier Friday, the sequel to their body-swapping 2003 Disney comedy that itself was the second big-screen adaptation of Mary Rodgers’ 1972 novel following Jodie Foster‘s 1976 version.

Ganatra further revealed to EW in her cover interview that the Freakier Friday team implored Foster to appear in the sequel in a small came, though she declined.
