The prominent cleric made the remarks in a meeting with Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian held in the holy city of Qom on Wednesday, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Ayatollah Makarem highlighted the contribution made by charity groups and stressed his support for efforts to settle the issues of people.
The cleric admitted President Pezeshkian in a meeting on the sideline of the presidential surprise visit to the holy city of Qom.
Visiting the subway project underway in Qom, meeting some senior clerics and religious figures and also a pilgrimage to the holy shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (AS) were parts of Iranian president’s trip to Qom.
