On July 25, 2025, the United States announced the provision of $4 billion in loan guarantees to Poland under the Foreign Military Financing (FMF) program. These funds will be used to modernize the Polish army.

This was announced by U.S. State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce.

“The United States proudly announces a Foreign Military Financing (FMF) loan guarantee to the Republic of Poland in the amount of $4 billion. This significant support reflects Poland’s strong commitment to its own defense and to sharing the burden of NATO collective security.”

It is noted that the FMF program helps strengthen U.S. national security by enabling key partners, such as Poland, to invest in defense systems manufactured in America.

Tammy Bruce also emphasized that Poland remains “one of America’s strongest and most reliable allies in Europe – a frontline country on NATO’s eastern flank and a leader in defense investments.”
