Kurti: Kosovo Police was often attacked, but always emerged victorious

In honor of the 14th anniversary of the fall of Hero Enver Zymeri and the Memorial Day of police officers fallen in the line of duty, the acting Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, and the Director of the Kosovo Police, Colonel Gazmend Hoxha, paid homage to the Lapidary of Fallen Police Officers, in the courtyard of the General Directorate of Police in Pristina.
The state tributes were also attended by the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, who emphasized that the Kosovo Police is a multiethnic force that was often attacked, but always emerged victorious.
“We are here at the tomb of fallen police officers, 24 in total in post-war Kosovo. I want to emphasize the heroes Enver Zyberi and Afrim Bunjaku who fell in the line of duty. The Kosovo Police is a multiethnic force that was often attacked but always emerged victorious. We have pain and sorrow, we have a lot of longing, but we also have pride. Glory to all Kosovo police officers who fell in the line of duty”, Kurti emphasized. During the day, homage will be held at the grave of Hero Afrim Bunjaku as well as a visit to his family. The memorial ceremonies conclude at 17:00 PM with the official reception of the marchers at the “Berim” Search and Rescue Training Center in Zubin Potok – Ujman.
