Behrami: Acceptance of documents from the Serbian MUP to the Special Court legitimizes crimes in Kosovo

Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Artan Behrami has sharply criticized the Special Court’s acceptance of documents obtained by the Serbian MUP and other Serbian institutions.
According to Behrami, this action is unacceptable and is legitimizing the war crimes, genocide and ethnic cleansing committed by the Serbian MUP during the war in Kosovo.
“It is unacceptable that an institution like the Special Court accepts documents and disinformation from the Serbian MUP, which is responsible for war crimes in Kosovo, for genocide, for ethnic cleansing, for numerous massacres it has committed in Kosovo. By accepting these documents, the Special Court is unfortunately legitimizing all this violence and all this ethnic cleansing that the Serbian MUP has committed against civilians, mainly against Albanian civilians in Kosovo,” he stated.
Otherwise, the Kosovo Specialist Chambers (KSC) in The Hague has made a decision to admit several documents into evidence, at the request of the Specialist Prosecutor’s Office (SPO) in the case against Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selim and Jakup Krasniqi.
These documents were received on May 29, 2025, but the decision was made public on July 25, 2025.
The received documents are divided into three complaints, the last of which is mainly documents that are said to have been obtained from the Serbian State Security Service, the Serbian Ministry of Interior and other structures of this state.
