Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski has warned traders not to manipulate prices because, as he says, there will be annual measures and restrictions and not weekly or monthly as they have been so far. He has ordered traders to be careful because the increase in food prices is being followed.
“We are monitoring this as a process and my message to traders is not to use tricks because the restrictions may be annual, not weekly or monthly. We are monitoring very carefully the behavior of some of the markets through the Market Inspectorate and the Ministry of Economy and Labor,” said Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski.
For weeks, the public has been discussing the enormous increase in food prices, for which the Minister of Economy himself has repeatedly warned in his speeches that concrete measures will soon be taken.
Citizens have constantly complained about very high prices, while on the other hand, government measures are still being awaited, for which Prime Minister Mickoski pledged to come to the aid of citizens.
