Community concert series and music festivals will be held throughout the summer. Don’t miss out on hearing and seeing your favorite artist this week. Most concerts are free unless otherwise stated, and be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket. Also, check out The Tribune’s guide to summer festivals and its guide to summer theater productions.

BARODA

BERRIEN SPRINGS

Aug. 8: Barley Priest performs from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lemon Creek Winery, 533 Lemon Creek Road. This duo performs traditional drinking songs, Irish songs, popular tunes and original instrumentals.

Aug. 10: 2 Girls in a Hat performs from 3 to 6 p.m. at Domaine Berrien Cellars, 398 E. Lemon Creek Road. The female due plays soft rock, folk, blues and country.

BUCHANAN

Aug. 9: Grahame Lesh & Friends performs from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Buchanan Common, 122 Days Ave. Grateful Dead cover band.

DOWAGIAC

Aug. 7: Schlitz Creek performs from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Dowagiac District Library Event Pavilion, 206 Main St. Schlitz Creek is a bluegrass band.

ELKHART

Aug. 9: Jeff Colin performs from 10 a.m. to noon at Ruthmere, 302 E. Beardsley Ave. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.

Aug. 6: The LaPorte City Band performs at 7 p.m. CT at Fox Park, Truesdale Avenue. Guest euphonium soloist is Dennis Miller performing “Gabriel’s Oboe.” The world premiere of “The Gunness Mystery” will be conducted by composer Joe Clark, and Bruce Johnson will be the reader.

Aug. 7: Cripple Creek performs at 7 p.m. CT at Fox Park, Truesdale Avenue. This band plays some gospel, country, pop and oldies.

MICHIGAN CITY

Aug. 4: The Valleyaires perform from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Battell Park Bandshell, 301 W. Mishawaka Ave. The Valleyaires are a men’s chorus singing barbershop style.

Aug. 6: Lakebed performs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Ball Band Biergarten, 230 Ironworks Ave. Lakebed as an acoustic band from Mishawaka performing music from country to 1990s to rock.

Aug. 7: Trailer Swift performs from 6 to 8 p.m. in Central Park, 295 E. Mishawaka Ave. Trailer Swift blends moody melodies, distorted riffs and various subgenres of rock.

NILES

Aug. 9: Rebel Noire and the Accomplices perform from 7 to 8 p.m. at Fernwood Botanical Garden, 13988 Range Line Road. This award-winning band blends jazz, R&B/soul, rock and a hint of hip-hop for a distinct, evocative sound. Bring a lawn chair; food and drinks available. Aug. 8-10: The Osceola Music Festival will be held in Fern Hunsberger Park, 220 N. Lamport St. Family-friendly events during the day and live music in the evening. Aug. 8 from 6 to 10 p.m. with Shock Roxy performing. Aug. 9 from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. with Whistle Pigs performing from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Parkovash performing from 3 to 6 p.m. Red Alert closes the evening from 7 to 11 p.m. On Aug. 10, the day begins at 7 a.m. with Memphis Underground performing from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For a list of events, go to osceolamusicfestival.com.

Aug. 8: Don Savoie performs from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in Seitz Park, 316 E. Colfax Ave. Bring lunch or purchase from a vendor. Savoie is a blues and rock ‘n’ roll specialist.

Aug. 9: Deathcore Night with xEighty-Sixedx, Mauled, Filth Spewer, Tortured Minds and Beyond the Fathoms at 7 p.m. at Stockroom East, 625 E. THREE OAKS

Aug. 9: On the Lash Band performs from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Dewey Cannon Park in downtown Three Oaks. On the Lash Band honors Irish traditional music with new takes on classic songs.

Aug. 10: Grace Theisen Trio will perform at 3 p.m. at The Acorn, 107 Generations Drive; acornlive.org. This concert is free. This trio plays Americana and rock/pop.

UNION PIER

Aug. 9: Murph performs from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Round Barn Tasting Room, 9185 Union Pier Road.

VALPARAISO

Aug. 9: Hyryder — Grateful Dead tribute will perform at 7 p.m. CT at Gabis Arboretum at Purdue Northwest, 450 W. 100 N. Gates open at 6 p.m. rain or shine.
