Shala: Macedonian Albanians react more when their religion is touched upon

Opinionist Azdren Shala stated tonight on the show “Rubikon” that Albanians in North Macedonia react more when their religion is touched upon, rather than, as he put it, their national feeling.
According to Shala, this is due to, as he put it, a foreign investment.
“They are probably the part of Albanians that I feel the most sorry for, because for a long time there, due to foreign investment, the nationalist sentiment has been diluted by the religious one.”
“Today, Albanians in Macedonia are much more reactionary when it comes to their religion than when it comes to their national identity, this is due to long-term investments in some mosques, both there and here, but there it has had a greater effect,” Shala continued.
