Viking Opens Bookings for 2027–2028 Ocean and Expedition Voyages Featuring New Itineraries and the Viking Lyra®
Viking has officially opened reservations for its 2027–2028 ocean and expedition voyages, unveiling an expanded portfolio of journeys that span all seven continents. The latest release includes additional departures on Viking’s award-winning ocean and expedition fleet, spotlighting many of the company’s most popular routes as well as fresh itineraries designed to inspire discovery. Among the exciting new additions is the Viking Lyra®, the company’s newest ocean ship, set to join the fleet in 2028. Viking Lyra® will embark on her inaugural season sailing through the Mediterranean and Scandinavia, presenting travelers with new opportunities to explore these culturally rich regions aboard one of the most advanced ships in Viking’s fleet.
Alongside the sailing announcements, Viking revealed a new expedition itinerary called Into the Antarctic Circle. This remarkable journey offers travelers the rare chance to cross the Antarctic Circle, marked by the 66°33′ southern latitude line, and to explore the vast, untouched landscapes of the “White Continent.” This route is an esteemed achievement in polar exploration, providing guests the opportunity to experience an extraordinary environment filled with extraordinary wildlife and dramatic ice formations.
