A woman from North Macedonia drowned in Halkidiki

A 75-year-old citizen of North Macedonia was pulled from the water yesterday afternoon without signs of life on a beach near Halkidiki. As MIA reported, the woman was immediately given first aid by the emergency medical service team, after which she was transferred to the hospital, but doctors declared her dead, reports Portalb.mk.
The Greek Coast Guard announced that the Nea Moudania Coastal Administration was informed that a 75-year-old foreign national (citizen of the Republic of North Macedonia) was recovered lifeless from the beach of Sozopol, in the municipality of Nea Propontida.
After the arrival of an ambulance, she was given first aid, and then transferred to the Nea Moudanias Health Center, where she was pronounced dead. As part of the preliminary investigation, an autopsy was ordered to be performed at the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Thessaloniki.
According to MIA information, this is the fourth case of a Macedonian citizen drowning on Greek beaches this season.
In the last two months, a 20-year-old boy in Halkidi, a 77-year-old woman and an 80-year-old man near Kavala also lost their lives under similar circumstances.
