Dozens of residents were evacuated as the fire tore through 650 hectares of land, authorities said.
Train lines between Madrid and Avila were disrupted and some roads closed, the official train operator Adif said in a post on X.
The fire was brought under control on Saturday but residents were still not able to return home, local media reported.
Europe is facing a new August heatwave and concerns continue to grow over the impact of global warming leading to extremely dry conditions in forests and bush areas.
Many areas in neighbouring France and Spain are on alert for the risk of wildfires.
