    I wonder why i am stupid enough to pay 99€ a year for a safety GPS beacon when I could rely on Norway’s free rescue services instead….

  3. I’ve been in bad weather with fog and darkness up in the mountains, even if you know where you are and have a map, you can still get lost.

    This guy probably knew where he was, but others didn’t know his location. I’m glad they found him alive, I wasn’t convinced they were going to as days went by, so this was a very good outcome.

  5. And please do not forget people, this man is an experienced hiker, used to being in the mountains and was well prepared in terms of clothing and equipment. Be prepared before you hike here, *please*
