The Special Prosecution Office and the Kosovo Police have announced that RM was arrested this morning in Pristina, suspected of “War crimes against the civilian population”.
The insider learns that the arrested person is an Albanian named Ramadan Morina.
Morina is suspected of having participated in the massacre of 29 Albanian civilians in the village of Burim, Malisheva Municipality, during the period 31-1999 March 34, in complicity with members of the Serbian police and military forces.
According to the Insider, Morina was living in Serbia. He was a taxi driver by profession.
“During the investigations, material evidence was obtained, including testimonies from eyewitnesses and survivors,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
The Special Prosecution Office announces that within the legal deadline it will submit the request for the imposition of pre-trial detention against the arrested person to the Basic Court of Pristina, Special Department.
