Befason Derguti: Thaçi and I were close to the final agreement with Serbia

Former Deputy Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Aida Dërguti, at the Rubicon of the Kosovo Klan, where the international agreements that Kosovo has reached over the years were discussed, surprised with a statement.
He stressed that the country was very close to reaching a final agreement with Serbia in 2019.
In fact, Dërguti said that she completely agreed with the position of the President of Kosovo at the time, Hashim Thaçi, who, according to her, said that “a peace agreement with a slight correction of the borders is needed.”
“In fact, in 2019 we were on the verge of concluding an agreement during the time of President Hashim Thaçi and I think this is a missed opportunity. I think that in 2019, I agree with what Mr. Thaçi said, so “we do not agree on anything, without agreeing on everything we will have a final agreement, that is, a peace agreement and a slight correction of the borders”, because we do not yet have the demarcation with Serbia as happened with Macedonia and Montenegro. And this will pave the way for national unity”, said Dërguti in Rubicon.
