Kosovo U19 ends World Cup appearance, defeated on penalties by Bahrain

The Kosovo U19 national handball team completed its appearance at the “Egypt 2025” World Championship on Friday.
In the match for 23rd place, our national team was unlucky. Our boys were defeated on penalties by Bahrain (33:31 overall score).
The match was strong and equal.
Midway through the first half, our national team was left without captain Olsi Mulaj, who was sent off for an unfortunate moment. Mulaj already had five goals.
This caused our game to decline and Bahrain was trailing by four goals in the first half.
But our boys did not give up. In the second half, they consolidated their positions, gradually came closer, and in the last second, with Suad Pajaziti’s goal from the penalty spot, they tied the score at 29:29.
But in the penalty shootout, luck was with Bahrain (4:2).
Drijon Istefi was declared the best player of the match. He scored six goals.
Suad Pajaziti had eight and Amar Muqolli had seven.
Our national team finished the World Cup in 24th place out of 32 participating national teams.
