    1. I don’t see how “freezing the front lines in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia” is supposed to work. With what long-term idea? Ukraine is supposed to accept a “peace” with the Russian army on the other side of the river in Kherson?

    2. What’s breaking about that? He’s saying that practically since the start of this war.

I love the bullshit level on this, it’s fantastic. Putin promising to “be cool about it” as if it wasn’t the 3rd time it’s promised. The title is bullshit too – freezing front lines is not exactly ending the war

Ah yes, just like when we gave nazis some land and they never attacked anyone ever again…. Wait a minute

Why would Putin back off if nothing really changed? He still thinks that longer the war goes the weaker western support will be. Nothing significant happened to changed his mind.

This is same stuff again and US again took the bait.

    7. A “swap” implies a mutual exchange. This is just an attempt to grab more land. Offer a withdrawal from Kherson and Zaporizhka and then there might be something worth discussing.

“And agree to a promise not to attack Ukraine or other European nations again.” Anyone who knows 1% of Russian history knows that that’s a big, fat, shameless lie.

Britain and France probably don’t see anything wrong with that

A little bit of Ukraine at the start, a little bit of Lotva at the side, maybe a bit of Estonia for the taste and then all of Lithuania and Poland

I agree we need to eliminate the root causes of the war: Putin and his cronies should never be allowed to hold any kind of office again.

    11. BS. All he wants is to make Ukraine weak and defenseless, so he can invade it again in the near future and take over the whole country.

Avoiding war by giving land to the enemy? Someone tried it and then 1939 happened.

    13. A couple of years after this alledged *’end of war’* Putain will build a new front and continues until he has the entirety of Ukraine.
