tl;dr a 50yr old died in an industrial accident at the factory that makes Lucozade and Ribena in the UK. All 31 lines have had their production halted since late April. All of the usual promotional activity for the brands has been suspended to try and make supplies last. Wholesalers are starting to run low. Production will hopefully be restarted in June, starting with PMP of Original and Sport with the newest “Blucozade” variant the last to come back online in September. Retailers are saying they’ll fill the shelf space with other energy and sports drinks if they can’t get Lucozade.

Sorry for a Reach plc link. It was that or the sun.

Aside from the tragedy of having to choose a different sugar-water, it is a sad loss of life which I hope isn’t repeated very often. R.I.P.

“Fatal accident could see UK shops run out of Lucozade after Gloucestershire factory shut”

Well i’m glad to see our priorities are in order /s

    4. Ah Lucozade and a comic – my childhood treats when I was a kid. And yet it’s seems pretty foul stuff when I’ve tasted it since.
