Greece, N.Y. — The owner of a popular bakery that was recently shuttered by the Monroe County Department of Public Health has been arrested again.
Matthew Belk, 35, was arrested Monday in connection with a stolen vehicle investigation that began July 2, according to the Greece Police Department.
The department announced last month it had issued a warrant for Belk’s arrest on charges of grand larceny and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
Police said he stole a vehicle valued at more than $3,000 near his bakery on Stone Road. The investigation began less than two weeks after the county shut down the bakery June 20 over reported violations.

Later that month, Belk was arrested in both Ontario and Genesee counties.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office said Belk was arrested June 28 in Canandaigua after being found in possession of a stolen van, two stolen credit cards and suspected cocaine. He was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, criminal possession of a controlled substance, aggravated unlicensed operation and other traffic offenses.
The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office said Belk was arrested June 30 in the town of Alabama after entering a building on the Tonawanda Seneca Nation reservation and remaining inside without permission. He was charged with criminal trespass.
Greece police said Belk was released on an appearance ticket following his latest arrest Monday.
