We are currently on a roadtrip in your lovely country. Tomorrow we have to drive from Kubaleti to Tbilisi.
Can someone confirm that the road closure below is actually there? Or where I can find information on this?
I’m getting contradicting messages from Google maps and Waze. And the time difference is quite big.

Naar mijn weten zijn er geen afsluitingen. Mijn tante heeft deze route een paar dagen geleden nog gereden.
Don’t pay attention to it. It is still the best route.
Trust Waze.
Google Maps didn’t update in time. a new part of four-lane highway opened on August 16, which is why it still shows as closed.
Google has trouble coping with road construction in Georgia. In that particular case in the west, Google is ahead of schedule, thinking that you can drive on an unfinished road. Just follow the signs to Tbilisi and if in doubt follow everyone else.
