The Alliance for Albanians, the wing of Arben Taravari, accuses VLEN of failing with constitutional changes, while the country’s path to the EU is blocked

Full reaction:

The political entities of the VALENT coalition, before the 2024 parliamentary elections, pledged to respect the law and constitutionality in North Macedonia, but at the same time declared that the current constitution is deficient, limited and does not reflect the political, social and ethnic realities of the country.

They promised that within the first six months of government, constitutional changes would be initiated, to build a new, more democratic and modern document, which would redefine the country as an equal state of the two majority communities, with guaranteed rights for all other communities, according to the best practices of the European Union.

This was the major promise with which WLEN justified its participation in the government, presenting it as the decisive step for the country’s integration into the EU.

After almost a year and a half of government, what happened? Nothing. Constitutional changes did not happen. To date, the process has remained only words, while the country’s path to the EU has been further blocked.

Therefore, every day it is being proven that the Alliance for Albanians was right when it made the decision to abandon this government, which proved to be anti-Albanian, anti-European, and anti-American.
