Berisha: INSTAT calculates goods that transit to Kosovo as exports

SP leader Sali Berisha accuses the Institute of Statistics of manipulating economic figures on the orders of the Prime Minister. He spoke about the case of exports, which, unlike official data, are declining and, according to him, manipulated figures are being used, counting as exports the goods that Kosovo transits through the port of Durres.
“Exports have decreased by 7%. Kosovo unloads oil in Durrës, this is called Albania’s export to Kosovo. Edi Rama and his shameful institute, declare re-exports. They want to cover up the installation of the narco economy at all costs.”
Berisha says the government is doing the same thing with tourist numbers.
“They come from the region to get the cheap lines and Edi Rama registers them as tourists.”
The chief democrat also denounced what he calls the headline news of the summer: Rama’s establishment of a pension for himself, which exceeds 400 thousand lek.
“I guarantee you will never enjoy it. Edi Rama set himself a pension 30 or so times greater than the average pension in his country.”
