Elezi: Another 10 days for the registration of voters outside Kosovo

Only 10 days remain until the deadline for registering voters outside Kosovo, who will be able to vote by mail in the elections for mayors and municipal assemblies.
This was confirmed by CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi, who presented the latest data from the registration process.
“The period for registering voters outside Kosovo for postal voting in local elections for mayors and municipal assemblies has been ongoing for almost a month, and will end in 10 days. From July 23 until Tuesday, August 19, 9,961 applications for postal voting registration were received through the electronic platform https://diaspora.kqz-ks.org, of which 7,681 were approved, while 2,280 were rejected,” said Elezi.
According to him, in most cases, applicants have not submitted proof of their address outside of Kosovo.
“In most rejected cases, applicants have not submitted one of the documents proving their address outside of Kosovo. The CEC is individually informing each rejected applicant of the reasons for the rejection of their application and that they will be able to reapply by attaching the necessary documents in accordance with the CEC’s instructions,” said Elezi.
According to the CEC, voting by mail will begin on September 17 and end on October 11, 2025. This process will only apply to voters who manage to register by August 29.
