And on failing to investigate Martin Daubney’s show, where he used the word ‘tranny’, the Ofcom spokesperson said: “We carefully considered complaints about this programme.

“While we understand the clear potential for offence, our assessment found that the brief use of this language was, in our view, employed to provoke debate, *and was likely to be in line with audience expectations for this channel and show*

We did not consider that an investigation was warranted.”

Going by this standard, if I created an explicitly racist TV channel and called for a certain race to be shot (to provoke “debate”), that would be fine because it would be in line with audience expectations for said channel?

A hyperbolic example, but come on. This seems ridiculous..

  3. That’s a headline Eric Cartman would struggle to conceive of, and he fed a kid his own parents

  4. Absolutely disgraceful.

And shame on people yet to see how despicable and vile GBNews is.

  5. I’m struggling to see how this is not a call to action, which has landed many people in jail recently

  6. Bet if I said the same thing on social media I’d have police knocking on the door.

  7. Gbeebies tweeter feed mentions this not at all, I would have thought their vindication would have been trumpeted in CAPS LOCKED.

Remember this the next time these cunts pretend to care about anyone but themselves.

  9. This isn’t just an off the cuff comment from GB News, this is what they want to do to us with the reforms but it doesn’t sound as bad in policy speak.

So can we call GB news what it really is? The daily mail for people too stupid to read and they will be fine with it?

Great, more enabling of hatred towards the disabled. What a pathetic, weak country this has become.

“OK GBN team, our numbers have been falling. So you call for killing disabled scroungers, and you Eamonn, just say something racist!”

  13. I wish they would shoot them….

Ive worked my entire life and now I am disabled because of work they won’t support me so I have to work through pain ..I’d rather they shot me than live like this

  14. in the interest of sparking debate, I propose a similar approach to the sycophantic pantiewaists at offcom. however, I do feel that bullets are expensive. I understand best practice is that zip ties and a large bulldozer work adequately well.

and while we’ve got the equipment out, how about including the GB news audience? after all, apparently they’re expecting it so it should be fine.

The irony is, if someone made similar comments about GB News presenters, their viewers, or their favoured Reform politicians, you can guarantee they’d be up in arms, demanding police intervention and prosecution.

  16. The fact they got away with it is a terrible indicator of where we are heading. Couple more years of this shit simmering and the pot will overflow.
