Greece, N.Y. — A teen faces charges after police allege they left the scene of a fatal hit-and-run crash in Greece Friday night.
Greece police responded to English Road near Fetzner Road just before 11:40 p.m. for a report of an unconscious man lying in the ditch.
Once there, officers located a 63-year-old Greece man who was unresponsive and had suffered from severe injuries consistent with being hit by a vehicle.
Officers performed CPR on the man, and he was pronounced dead on the scene.
An investigation determined the incident to be a hit-and-run crash, according to Greece police.
Greece police say that 19-year-old Frankie Spencer returned to the scene of the crash early Sunday morning and admitted to striking the victim on English Road, and was arrested and evaluated for impairment.
Spencer faces leaving the scene of a fatal hit-and-run crash and driving while impaired by drugs charges.
He was taken to Monroe County Jail and was arraigned in CAP Court.
The crash is still under investigation, and anyone who witnessed the crash or was in the area at the time is asked to call the Greece Police Department at 585-865-9200.
