I love this little planetary nebula – at only 655 light years away it's one of the brightest planetary nebulae in the sky. The different colours represent different gas emissions from the nebula, giving a weird eye shape and a little eyebrow. Took about 16 hours of light data to get this detail. If I had clearer nights, I'd have captured more. Here's my set up:
- Askar 103 Apo lens
- ZWO Asi533mc pro camera
- Antlia RGB Ultra Filter
- 197 x 300s Light + Darks + Bias + Flats over 2 nights
- ZWO AM5N Mount
- ZWO Asimini 120 guidescope on OAG
Shot from Ĺtautahi Aotearoa – Enjoy! Happy to answer questions people may have.
