KFOR Commander meets with North Macedonia’s defense minister, discusses security and Kosovo-Serbia dialogue

The Commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, Major General Enrico Barduani, on Tuesday visited the Minister of Defense of North Macedonia, H.E. Vlado Misajlovski, and the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, at the Ministry of Defense in Skopje.
As stated in the KFOR announcement, the meeting focused on KFOR’s continued support for the security situation in Kosovo, regional stability and the EU-facilitated dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
“In this context, Major General Barduani reaffirmed KFOR’s commitment to ensuring a safe environment for all communities,” the announcement states.
“He also praised the professionalism of the North Macedonian contingent and expressed his appreciation for their valuable contribution to KFOR and to peace and stability in the region, underlining the importance of close cooperation and partnership between KFOR and North Macedonia,” the statement said. /Gazeta Express
