Gashi: There is no doubt that VV has a plan to block, Kosovo risks institutional collapse

Democratic League of Kosovo MP Arben Gashi said that institutions should be established as soon as possible and the assembly should be unblocked. He also assessed that there is now ”no doubt” that Vetëvendosje has a plan to block the institutions, writes Gazeta Express.

The LDK MP said that this was also seen yesterday, as VV began ”obstructions seeking constitutional violations”, immediately after the Speaker of the Assembly was elected.

“They consciously asked political parties to violate the decision of the Constitutional Court, which clearly states that the agenda set for the constitutive session must be implemented. After they were not entirely successful, they decided to focus on the Serbian deputy speaker – exploiting the sensitivity and calculating that the reaction of other parties would be weaker,” he wrote, among other things.

Gashi also warned that the country risks institutional collapse if there is no response with clear political leadership.

That Vetëvendosje has a plan to block the institutions – there is no longer any doubt. We saw this clearly yesterday: as soon as the Speaker of the Parliament was elected, VV began obstructions, seeking constitutional violations and attempting a new blockade for the coming months.

Politics has fallen to its lowest point, where only momentary gain is seen, not the security and interest of the state and the Albanians of Kosovo.
