ASH: Albanians a state-forming and decisive factor in North Macedonia

The Alliance for Albanians has reaffirmed today the belief that Albanians in North Macedonia are a decisive and state-forming factor, a role that must be guaranteed and respected in every institution and decision-making level.
In a statement to the media, ASH spokesperson Njomza Shaqiri said that the time has come for a new political agreement between Albanians and Macedonians, which will be based on real equality, mutual respect and strategic partnership.
“The time is for real equality between Albanians and Macedonians, mutual respect and strategic partnership. Only in this way can we build a stable society and a modern, European and equal state for all,” stressed Shaqiri.
The political platform of the ASH is guided by three fundamental principles: Tradition, Responsibility and Development. According to it, these are the pillars on which the vision for a functional and efficient state is built, where Albanians and Macedonians build a better future together.
Shaqiri emphasized that the Alliance’s priority for Albanians is:
• balanced local development,
• real decentralization,
• support for youth, families and local businesses,
• protection of the Albanian language, tradition and identity.
She added that ASH is determined to protect Albanian identity and national heritage, while simultaneously promoting individual freedom, private property, the market economy and sustainable development.
“We will be the voice of true equality and the guarantor of the Albanian national interest,” said the Alliance spokesperson, adding that the active involvement of citizens and cooperation with the Albanian diaspora remain key elements of the ASH’s political platform.
