RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – NV Energy is warning customers of an impersonation scam.
The company says the scam involves people going door to door impersonating their personnel.
They say their employees and contractors carry ID. If you are unsure of their credentials, you may ask them to provide ID.
The company says they will not demand immediate payment or threaten disconnection in-person or by phone, text, or email.
They also say they do not partner with outside companies for HVAC work or solar consultations or solar installations.
