“We will not give up Serbia”, “Fight against Kurti’s blockades”, “I want my Serbia back” are just some of the writings that have been placed in several Serb-majority municipalities in Kosovo.
Slogans with nationalist appeals and against Kosovo institutions were also placed this Sunday in the municipality of Gracanica, a municipality inhabited by Serbs.
Posters in Serbian have also been placed in the village of Koretishte in Novëberda and in North Mitrovica.
The Kosovo police have not responded during the day as to whether they are investigating or have identified any person for this.
Such writings are encouraged by Belgrade and are not worrisome, security experts say.
“This shows that Serbia has lost its power within the territory of Kosovo, namely Vučić’s own government, because in the past there was no need to write slogans because they had their security forces present from the police, gendarmerie and BIA, and now all that is left is slogans and their attempt to destabilize the situation in Kosovo, in general and in the four northern municipalities, I see no concern..”, stated Avni Islami – security expert.
On the other hand, Arben Dashevci says that security institutions should find the authors of these articles and that such actions come even before the local elections.
“If we look at the security aspect within Kosovo, such as in the four municipalities across the Iber River, internal security cannot be violated for many, many reasons because those who violated internal security or who did it directly in Kosovo are no longer there and now, before the elections, this is the form of their way of acting, but I do not see a violation of the internal security of the Republic of Kosovo,” he stated.
Such articles were decided a day after the Serbian List deputies did not receive enough votes for the deputy speaker of the Assembly in the Kosovo Assembly.
The same people have sent the case to the Constitutional Court of Kosovo. /Tv Dukagjini/
