Marko Grujic will leave FC Porto and become a reinforcement for AEK, according to the Greek press this Monday. A BOLA has confirmed that the midfielder is expected in Athens later today to undergo medical examinations and sign a contract.

An agreement has been reached between the Serbian and the Greek club, with only the details of the deal left to be clarified. It should be noted, however, that FC Porto had admitted to releasing the player on a free transfer as a way to reduce the wage bill.

After a season hampered by a serious injury, with appearances in only nine matches, Grujic played just 23 minutes in the pre-season for the Dragons this year, without being used in any official match.
