On 12 August 2025, at the initiative of the Armenian side, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan.
The Ministers discussed the Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia reached on 8 August 2025 in Washington.
Minister Botchorishvili congratulated her Armenian counterpart on the achievement of this historic agreement between the two countries. It was noted that the agreement will significantly contribute to the consolidation of long-term peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia reaffirmed her country’s readiness to contribute to the development of regional cooperation.
During the conversation, the parties also reviewed issues pertaining to bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Armenia.
