The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Waters announces that the ban on movement in forests continues until September 30.

A fine of 1.500 to 2.000 euros in denar equivalent is foreseen for non-compliance.

The Ministry calls on citizens to take special care to prevent fires in open spaces.

“It is essential that public opinion understands the risks and consequences of fires in open spaces and, through its behavior, contributes to the protection and preservation of forests, and therefore the environment, property and communities as a whole,” the Ministry says.

They emphasize that the risk of fires occurring in open spaces has not decreased in the following period and that citizens should be particularly careful, as due to high temperatures, the risk of fires occurring in open spaces still remains high.
