Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić accused Croatia, Albania and Kosovo on Wednesday of “creating a military alliance against Serbia.”

Vučić said from Beijing that “the Serbian army is strong enough to deter any possible aggression from the neighborhood,” writes “Index.hr”.

“It is not by chance that Pristina, Zagreb and Tirana formed a military alliance. And it is not because of Austria, Hungary or Slovenia, but because of Serbia… We are not stupid enough to not understand why you did it,” Vučić told reporters, the Serbian news agency “Beta” reports. “Again you allowed the formation of such a military alliance, you did it against Serbia. We must be an obstacle to those who form a military alliance against us.”

Vučić implied by the alliance that he was referring to a declaration on defense cooperation that Croatia, Albania, and Kosovo signed in March.

The signed document states that the cooperation aims at stability and security in Southeast Europe, support for the Euro-Atlantic path, and strengthening the alliance of the three friendly countries that also border Serbia.

Vučić said that “Serbia will not touch anyone,” but added that its army is being strengthened to protect its territorial integrity.

He has announced a military parade in Serbia on September 20th.

“We will have a military parade on September 20, so you will see many new things and you will be surprised… The Serbian Army is now an obstacle for any aggressor,” Vučić said.

Vučić met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Beijing on Tuesday. He also discussed Kosovo with Putin.

And on Wednesday he participated in China’s military parade marking the end of World War II.
